Appologies if this question has been asked before. I searched, but couldn't find the answer.
The company I work for has purchased a EMC VNX5700 storage server. They have already installed the server and plan to use it for users home drives. At the moment, they are manually creating homedrives using the provided software.
They would like ARS to autoprovision the hole folder during the account creation process. I tried doing it the standard way using the ARS homefolder policy. But I came to a dead end, as ARS cannot create the folder. I confirmed this with Quest, who said that ARS is unable to do this at present, as it cannot make the API calls.
I spoke to the storage guys about this. They said there is another way. They suggested that homefolders can be created by the device itself, if ARS could apend a txt file with the username on the VNX server.
Has anyone out there seen this before? Or, would anybody know how to do this in ARS?
