Script needed to clear trailing spaces in sAMAccountName attribute.

I need a script that will clear three space ' ' characters from end of the sAMAccountName attribute of about 2000 groups in a test domain.

I can use either VBScript or PowerShell but, if PowerShell, then I'll also need help understanding how the quest AD cmdlets are supposed to work. Can I just run the cmdlets from any server with Powershell installed or do I have to have the ARS console installed? Where is some good documentation on this?
