Trigger Approval Workflow - Programatically

Can anyone provide a code how to trigger Approval Workflow programarically.

Business case:
Approval Workflow1 is configured.
some time customer wants to trigger Approval Workflow1 probramatically even Start Condition is not satisfied (means does not change the same attribute again)

As far I see Option1:
Create Approval Workflow2 SIMILAR Approval Workflow1 triggered on change of VA (edsvaTriggerApprovalWorkflow). Note: the First Step in the Workflow probably must be predefined email trigger with no manual input required.

Any ideas?
